I'm currently hanging out in my parents dining room until it's time to start the Sedar. We're going very low-key this year - just me, mom, and dad since Chris is out of town. We'll be making him up a plate of what we're having including the much loved charoset and horseradish for his Hillel sandwich. ;)
I really didn't do much today even though I really meant to. I got the Qliphoth bottles yesterday to do the decanting and I meant to start with at least one scent to see how long it's going to take me. Instead I slept in because I couldn't fall asleep last night (damn you, Mountain Dew!!) and decanted a bunch of TAL scents for
dayse. I've never really decated TALs before aside from Mantle of Venus and I was a little worried about it. I don't do rituals with my TALs. I tend to use them with a little silent prayer before application. So when I decanted them, I just said a few words about the particular properties and asking that the oil transfer its properties to
dayse when she uses them. So far I've used Clarity, Concentration, Determination, and Euphony. A combination of Determination and Euphony seems to work well for a day at work. Apparently I need an extra dose of Determination combined with a plea for harmony in my surroundings. Look, if that's what it takes, I'm fine with it.
I did go to Barnes and Nobles for a Haggadah, but there was nothing good. I walked out with two new cookbooks (quick and easy meals and a chicken cookbook) and a copy of KT Tunstall's cd Eye to the Telescope. Damn you,
dayse! You suck. Thank you. ;)
And now I go play with the dogs while Hazel is still in my mother's possession and go have a sedar.
Happy Passover, all!
