They did not take me in the Army. I was, um, interestingly enough, I was, I was 4-P....

...Yes. In the, in the event of war, I'm a hostage.

And yes....I'm watching Annie Hall. I was sitting here and I wanted to watch some neurotic comedy and Woody Allen definitely fits that bill.

I watch this and think of Karen.

I watch Love and Death and think of Karen.

I watch Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex but Were Afraid to Ask and think of Karen (and Joe but that's another story).

I watch Stardust Memories and think of Karen.

Anything having to do with Woody Allen makes me think of Karen.

It's like a Pavlovian response. Woody Allen = Karen.

Is that weird?

Allison: I'm in the midst of doing my thesis.

Alvy Singer: On what?

Allison: Political commitment in twentieth century literature.

Alvy Singer: You, you, you're like New York, Jewish, left-wing, liberal, intellectual, Central Park West, Brandeis University, the socialist summer camps and the, the father with the Ben Shahn drawings, right, and the really, y'know, strike-oriented kind of, red diaper, stop me before I make a complete imbecile of myself.

Allison: No, that was wonderful. I love being reduced to a cultural stereotype.

Alvy Singer: Right, I'm a bigot, I know, but for the left.

WOW

I love you so much!!! I love Annie Hall. I even love reading dialoge from Annie Hall, because I can imagine the scenes. My God, I am such a nerd.

It's just that I feel like this movie was written for me...just for me!

I'm so glad you're watching it...I don't know exactly why I feel so strongly about that...I want everyone I know to watch it. I want to sit them all down in a room and give a lecture before the movie and then we'll all watch it.
