It's been a very long day already and being that it's New Year's it's going to be even longer than normal.
Got up and made a vet appointment. Showered. Got dressed. Got ready to go to work. Grabbed the piggy to medicate her and realize she's bleeding all over me and herself. Freak. Call the vet and tell them I'm coming in now not in two hours. Get her there. They stop the bleeding. We wait. We wait some more. She decides that she does NOT under any circumstances want to be put back in the box and clings to me. We wait. We go in. It didn't start as a cut. The vet thinks that it was either a growth or nerve damage and she started chewing on her leg. So she did it herself. We can try and treat it but if it's not better by Wednesday, he wants her to see a specialist to talk about amputation.
Okay, I love my guinea pig muchly but I'm poor. I can't afford to have her hospitalized and her leg amputated. So if it comes down to that...I have to put her down.
And that KILLS me. She's a year old and other than the fucked up leg perfectly healthy and happy. But she can't live like this. I don't want to put her through this pain. Right now I'm giving her injections for the pain as well as the antibiotics and cream for the wound. She's got one of those little collars on to keep her from getting at it too. She ran from me when I went over to see them when I got home. I think my baby hates me.
On a completely different note, we got the registers hooked up. Wednesday looks further and further away. I don't think we're going to make it. And I got asked out by Tee. Fucking great. I like Tee. He's a nice guy but I don't under any circumstances want to date him. And I felt horrible saying no so I said we'd figure something out.
Fuck. And I can't get in touch with Waryne to find out if he still wants to do carbombs tonight or not. If he does, I need to get my ass moving and find some Jameson whiskey.
