Special present? I want it now! I want the kids to see!

I have to go to Drexel today which I'm looking forward to about as much as a root canal without novocaine. I keep trying to tell myself that I don't have to spend much time there. I just have to get my transcripts, get a couple of detailed course descriptions, get my last paycheck and check on why I haven't gotten my W2's from them, and then go get good coffee and a bagel sandwich. If I work fast, which I can, I can do it in about half an hour. I just don't want to. At all. But I have a meeting with Dr. Carb tomorrow to go over my credit evaluation again to try and squeeze more literature credits out of the transcript. So I need the current transcript, which I don't have, and the detailed course descriptions, which I have a couple of but not all. But still I say: meh.

On the good side, I didn't have class this morning because it was an internet lecture. On the bad side of that, I can't get into the site where the internet lecture is. I must get that fixed tomorrow. I'm getting rid of the Drexel email in the next few weeks so if anyone still uses that, switch to the hotmail address. That's the only one I really use anymore. If you want to send me porn send it to the ihateclowns address. That's what that account is for these days. (I like porn. You can send it.)

Mom got antsy because I beat her to the shower but she's slow. She takes forever to shower and I do want to leave at some point today since I have to be at work at 2ish. I love that I can put -ish on my scheduled hours to work. I love flexibility. I love the fact I can come in early if I want or late if I want. It's a beautiful thing.

I need more coffee.

And to put clothes on. I'm basically sitting in my glasses, my ring, and my towel bunched around my waist. And my hair is drying very fast which means I must go tame it quick before I end up being bandanna girl today. Though I haven't been bandanna girl in awhile. I might just do that.

Oh and a Happy birthday to those three folks who may be turning 25, 22, and 21 respectively today, Mr. F, Mr. C, and Mr. W.

Ahh!

Must. Stop. Babbling.

In the grand tradition of being fucked over by Drexel, I bring you: The Search for Accurate Course Descriptions

I hit the COAS (College of Arts and Sciences) department and asked them nicely for course descriptions or at least access to the catalogue so I could photocopy them, I got a snide: Well that's not my job. You have to get them from the web.

I calmly explained that the course descriptions on the web have been reduced to one line descriptions that don't accurately describe the courses well enough for another college to understand what the course is about.

Her lovely response: Well, that's not my problem. It sounds like you need to get the syllabi.

I asked if I could get copies of the syllabi because I know that they have all the back syllabi on file.

Her next lovely response: You're no longer a student here. I can't allow you to copy the syllabi.

I asked her if she screwed over students for her own personal enjoyment or if that was actually in her job description. She decided not to answer.

So that was my fun time spent in the COAS this morning. The rest of the stuff I had to do, get transcripts and my paychecks, went just fine. I even had two paychecks instead of one.

BUT...because of the failed search for course descriptions, I've been forced to print out every last thing on the Drexel website that I can find about the courses I've taken. I do have the syllabi from all the courses except American Traditions in Lit 1 and 2, which are the ones that I really want the credits from. I'm going to have to do my best to describe exactly what we did in each course. And since I've attempted to block them out, that should be really fun.

*sigh*
