Tattoo!

And we're back with Round 3 of Tattoo Mania!

Last night we filled in almost all of the dress wrapped around the woman. Sadly, I bled too easily to continue and fill in the hair like we had planned. But I go back on the 14th to finish up most of the major areas of the tattoo. After that is the background which is going to be so great. Woo!

Also, I just realized when you click on the large version of this you can see the blood. ROCK!

I really wanted a woman on my arm, but I didn't want a pinup girl or anything overly sexualized. I adore Mucha's work and I love that his women are more sensual than sexual (at least to me). This particular one is 'The Dance' and the reason I picked this Mucha piece is that it seems so alive to me. Dancing is freedom and there's this beautiful woman who feels so strong and sensual, but not overly sexualized.

So yeah, that's why I picked this one. Beautiful, sensual woman, the freedom of dance and movement. Since I have fibro, movement can be tough sometimes so I like having something representing that.

And dude, the blood is there! It's right under her elbow. I swear!
