Each holiday season my grandfather sends us a check and we get to go out to dinner together as a family. Well that was tonight. We went out to the Italian Bistro which is high class for us. It was really, really, really nice. My mom and dad were totally surprised, thinking it was Olive Garden style food and then getting good food. It was a good night. We had fun and it was actually a nice evening together.

Wow with the weird. We don't get along. We stopped going on vacations together about 6 years ago just because we fight too damn much. We don't even try and go out to dinner more than once a year. And this is the first time in ages it's ended up nice. I could get used to my family being like this.



People are talking about going home for Christmas and all of that stuff. I read Ceili and Kyla's posts about going home for the holidays and I feel all warm and fuzzy and a little jealous. I've never really had that. Even when I dated people over the holiday it never was like that. I guess the closest I came to that was Joe's family. Everything was so perfect and family-oriented during the holidays. I try and spend time with Karen around the holidays because I like her family.

I guess...I guess I want Christmas without the Christ part of it. Sort of.
