morning babble and voting woes
Nov. 6th, 2001 11:05 amgoing to bed early = going back a lot more in livejournal in the morning.
must get in the shower when parent number 1 is out so i can get my ass to the polls before i get my ass on the train. i want to at least attempt to vote even though i really don't like any of the candidates. part of me is wondering whether i should just skip voting instead of placing a vote i'm not happy with. i'm a democrat and i pretty much vote down the party lines but i don't like McGreevey. but i like him better than Schundler. of course Schundler is also about 15 points back in the polls. which is good.
i'll figure something out. did none of my homework this weekend. i care not. i have to be at school by 1 to tutor the kid who annoys the crap out of me because he writes me emails in teeny-speak. nothing like getting an email from one of your students full of 'u' and 'pls' and 'thanx'. actually...scratch all of that. i just got another email from him and he's not coming because he's sick. well okay. but be aware that i'm not home till 10 and i'm going to bed right after that cause i have to be at work at 8.
mom and i are discussing the election thing. she's not voting because she doesn't know who to vote for either. this is discouraging to me. i want to vote because i feel it does make a difference. look at last year's election. and i did vote in that one. i came home the night before so i could make sure i got to vote. i cared last year. this year...i don't care. i do but i don't. i have no idea what any of the candidates stand for because i haven't been following it. all i know is the negative commericials that are all over tv. i guess i could vote along the lines of who's commercials annoy me the least but that's a bad way to vote.
i'm babbling. i need to get in the shower and have more coffee.
edit: i would also like to say that i love Kate because her entry on the subject is: Not the Church, Not the State. Give all the power to KATE!
and i agree....
