today is the first day of the rest of your life

Okay, so today hasn't been that bad. I'm happy, and accomplished a few things that were important. We went on a field trip in my Poetry class allllll the way to GCC to see Molly Peacock perform some of her work. And by perform, I mean perform. She didn't read, she acted it out. It was really, really great. I'm very glad that I didn't back out of it because I was tired like I had planned. Then, I had an exam that didn't go half as bad as I expected. It was just ID's and essays. I was expecting more to be able to make up for the fact I hadn't studied. But it turns out I remember enough of the ID's that I did yesterday to do okay on that part. And the essay turned out to be on the achievments of the Greek civilization, which I actually know! It was 5 pages front and back. Go me! So, I have a couple of days to just relax. It's an amazing thought.

It's also cold and rainy out which is a bummer. But I'm home and it's warm here and I have coffee and snacks. It's nice.

Also, this is a GIP courtesy of justafigment. Em's hands. Very nice. I'm thinking it'll be the icon I use when I talk about writing. I'm gonna go get my laundry, get some food, and curl up in my chair with the computer and some more coffee.
