Snagged from the wonderful new momma [livejournal.com profile] eyesfullofhope who, like me, didn't want to fill this out numerous times:

Name: Rachel
Age: 25
Birthday: January 15th
Location: Southern New Jersey
AIM Name: zillah37, but I'm *never* on it.
Best friend(s) on LJ:[livejournal.com profile] dayse, [livejournal.com profile] tigs, [livejournal.com profile] fayemeadows, [livejournal.com profile] mickeym, and many others, but those are the big four. They're my girls. :)
Fandoms You're A Part Of: Currently it's Due South, Stargate: Atlantis, CSI: Las Vegas, and Wilby Wonderful. I've been in Popfic, Stargate: SG1, and Harry Potter in the past.
What's your life like right now?: (living arrangements, schooling, work, etc): I'm working a very frustrating job, but I'm living with a great guy and a great dog in a cozy (read: messy) little apartment. I buy entirely too much bpal, read lj much too often, spend way too much time daydreaming about fandom, and find entirely too much amusement in my dog's poop schedule.
Ramble on a little about yourself -- say anything at all: I'm ridiculously attached to my icon of Jack and Daniel from Shades of Grey. I don't even care much about the fandom anymore and very rarely even catch the reruns anymore. But omg this is just one of the best moments in fandom for me. I can't even explain why SoG means so much to me in a fannish way, but it does. That episode makes me sit on the edge of my seat for the whole episode even though I've seen it probably 20 times at least. There's so much pain and anger and hurt in a tiny 100 x 100 square.

I was listening to Johnny Cash's version of 'Hurt' in the car the other day and I couldn't help but think about other older, established artists I'd love to hear remake newer songs. David Bowie doing 'Criminal', Neil Young doing 'The Man that You Fear,' Billy Joel doing 'Silent All These Years,' Jagger doing 'Pet.' The list could go on and on. I know that's not going to happen, but man, it would be great. Though, I'd love to hear all of those artists just remake more NIN. I love Bowie's version of 'Reptile.'

I recently read a CSI fic where Gil and Greg were friends and Greg had kind of taken over for Catherine as Gil's minder because Catherine had gotten married and went to take over the Reno CSI lab. Sara and Nick were married and Sara (I think) was the supervisor of swing shift. I really don't remember much of what happened, but I know that Gil and Greg eventually got together and Sara and Nick asked Gil to be the godfather of their kid. Um. Anyone know what story I'm talking about because I can't find it again and I'd *really* like to read it again. Found it! It was Of Life and Living by [livejournal.com profile] laurelgardner.

Tonight, Snow Moon goes live. I'm ridiculously fond of Blood Moon and just got a second bottle of it. I got my huge fall order this weekend and I'm also completely in love with Samhain '05. Devil's Night fades very quickly so I'm vacillating about it right now. I got a 5ml of Anubis (how I heart this scent) and some more Quietude which is my saviour most nights. The lab is trucking along too. They're almost at the end of September now. [squirms] Does this mean Beaver Moon and Yule scents in like three weeks or so? [hopes]

*sighs* You know, I was hoping the Eagles would prove me wrong this week. I admittedly picked Dallas in the football pool, but I wanted them to prove me wrong. It's not going to happen. I'd like them to prove me wrong in the last 2 minutes, but I doubt it. That interception for a TD on Dallas's end took the wind out of their sails. Ah well. Stupid Eagles.
