Mmm...I love Christmas day for one big reason. Fic. Soooo many fics. Personally I'm concentrating on yuletide and ds_seekritsanta so I don't go crazy. Hehe.

Recs! Take one!

Yuletide:

Most importantly, my story! I got an incredibly fantastic Wilby Wonderful fic that is Duck and Buddy in high school backstory. It makes me squee a thousand times with happiness. So go read if you are Wilby inclined. A Home on the Ocean Wave. Whee!

Simpsons fic! Someone out there wrote lovely, fantastic, in-character fic about Lenny and Carl. It's funny, poignant and fills in the blanks about that time Bart paid Lenny and Carl to kiss each other. The Ballad of Lenny and Carl.

Rome fic! Lots of Rome fic. Which I'm sooo in love with. can nature change the seasons of the years which is Octavian fic that hints at Octavian/Octavia and is so wonderful. Looooves. And omg the Pullo/Vorenus fic of my dreams. Semper Hic Erro. Seriously. Sooo good.

I haven't watched Scrubs in years, but omg I love the fic that comes from this fandom. It's all so funny and all over the place and silly. Especially good are My Thing and Moment in Time.

Then we get two stories for the movie Saved! which makes me so very happy. We Are Nowhere, And It's Now which is post-film Mary, Roland, and Cassandra fic, but not like that. And then Heretical which is set during the movie and maybe Mary really likes being a heretic.

And then my lovely dayse got Hard Core Logo fic! And it's HCL fic that feels so very canon it's not even funny. I heart it hardcore. Virgin Pacific Rim Job.

[This Isn't the] Ballad of a Gravedigger which is Mark-centric and it hurts because he's angry and he wants what he can't have. And Large and Sam are so close, but so far.

And omg so much Deadwood fic this year! First and foremost is the lovely, *lovely* Charlie Utter fic Tangling Shadows. And then follow up with God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman which is Doc Cochran fic with a side of Jewel and great little glimpses at Bullock and Star and Al. Then there's Jane/Joanie fic where Joanie tries to save Jane and it's just lovely. Jane's Addiction. And finally a wonderful story that revolves around Al, Trixie, Sol, and Seth right after William is killed. So fantastic complete with the kind of Sol/Seth relationship that is so believable. Vigil.

And we'll leave the yuletide fics with the sole Winnie the Pooh fic In Which A New Child Comes To The Forest. It's sad and beautiful and makes you miss The 100 Acre Woods.


And now onto the ds_seekritsanta fics. I haven't finished them all, but wow. Some of them are so, so good.

My fic is a wonderful RayK/Fraser fic where they finally make a move against the backdrop of a funeral. It's sad, but wonderful at the same time. These Days.

I have a soft spot for Welsh/Frannie fic and A Sleeve Is No Place for a Heart is no exception. It's beautiful.

And for more Welsh fic check out Keeping Watch and Deja Vu All Over Again which is actually kind of a Frannie/Welsh fic with a side of RayK/Fraser. It's lovely. :)

And then there's MIME fic. No. Really! The Sound of Silence. Go. Shoo!

1997 which is lovely Christmas fic where Ray doesn't have decorations but he has Fraser.

Waiting for the Weird which is a fic where Dewey gets married and Fraser thinks it's hot to watch Ray dance.

And we get some straight up PORN with Ill n'y a pas de pommes de terre. Plus there's stolen potatoes! Who steals potatoes?

And my personal fav which is post-CotW fic where Ray moves to Canada and fits in. Things to Do in Juniper at One O'Clock in the Morning.

Then for some silly fic where RayK loves his Turnbull take a gander at A Lanyard, A Penguin, and Bea Arthur. Bea Arthur is in the fic! How can it be bad?

And last but certaintly not least at all is 10 Reasons to hate Ray Kowalski which is weird, strange Ray/Ray fic where they switch bodies, but really totally get each other in the end. It made me really like this Ray/Ray. It felt so *them*.

That's it for now, but I'm sure there will be more later. I've still got lots of fic to read for both the ds_seekrit santa and yuletide. Plus there's sga_santa which I read stuff earlier. And man, so happy. :)
