Why this must be read: Okay, so I've already rec'd lalejandra once during my crack_van stint. There's a reason for that. She's just that damn good. And this story is just that hot. It starts when Fraser is unpacking some of Ray's things in their new apartment and finds a box with Ray's hidden past in it. A hidden past that involves guitar playing, eyeliner, and glam rock. One thing leads to another and Fraser steals a picture of a 20 year-old Ray because he likes it so much. This story is a great little glimpse at the two of them and what is still secret between them despite their relationship.

And did I mention it was hot?

Why this must be read: I had an impossible time choosing which fic to rec by Starfish. So I gave up and decided to rec the two I love the most. So for my final rec, I give you one of my favourite stories in the entire due South fandom.

To borrow directly from the author, this is a story about Fraser wins a raffle, Ray doubts his instincts, and Dief is barely mentioned. But what is mentioned is a cruise, Sword of Desire, and Frannie's new red bikini.

It all starts with a raffle ticket that Fraser wins because Frannie conned him into buying one even though he doesn't believe in lotteries and raffles. And of course he wins because Frannie fixed the raffle so he would win and take her on the cruise. But instead he takes Ray. On a cruise for the elderly. Then they meet this suspicious bartender who thinks they're gay and follows them around everywhere. And really, it all goes downhill from there because neither Fraser or Ray are any good at not making something out of nothing.
