so apparently the gigantic storm i fell to sleep to last night flooded the east coast - well, delaware, parts of new jersey, and eastern pennsylvania. we haven't felt the effect in our apartment complex, thank god. we're way off the ground in the back part of the apartment, but we're below ground level in the bedroom/bathroom area. luckily nothing seemed to get inside. i have to call mom to see what happened over there because flooding in that area is very bad. eta: mom's house is fine.

i had my first physical therapy appointment today which i almost slept through because i set my alarm for 8:30 PM instead of AM. thank god the phone rang at 10:15. i somehow made it to the appointment in time and got lectured repeatedly, but nicely, about my posture. yes, my posture sucks. i know that. i have to work on that and i got a nice, long list of exercises i have to do. and i have to go 3 times a week. *sighs* $20 x 3 days a week x 6 weeks = $360. greaaaat.

in other news, smallville has eaten my braaaaain. well, smallville fic. i still have absolutely no desire to watch the show. heh. and i'm ridiculously excited about the new superman movie. not because of the smallville fic thing, but because omg new superman movie! i heart superman. and i totally, double megaheart kevin spacey. i was so excited when i heard he was playing luthor. he's a great villain even when the villain is not the best at what he does and kind of silly.

beth has announced that all orders up to 5/1 have shipped which means the bulk of what i need for river kids will be here shortly. i'll need to pick up a few more imps via the comms and wait for the lush from [livejournal.com profile] quiet00001 to arrive and then we'll be ready to go. i can stop drooling over all the pretty boxes and soap and bpal i have tucked away and finally get them out there to people who will love them.

ps: david bowie rocks my socks off. thank god for ipods and new bowie related playlists. eta: i have something in the air on my playlist because i like the song despite the fact the first time i heard it, i was horrified. his voice is scratchy and has trouble hitting higher notes that he hit easily in the past. i was so worried that it meant he wasn't able to sing like he used to. when [livejournal.com profile] wander999 and i saw him in roseland that same year, all worries had been subsided as he hit every note in wild is the wind without a problem, his voice strong and true. this brought you by the fact i just listened to sita and wild is the wind (live at the bbc) back to back.
