Okay, so I'm watching the news as I usually do on weekdays before work. And they just did a report on how Vogue named Angelina Jolie the perfect woman. She is physically, according to Vogue, the perfect woman.

WHAT THE FUCK!

Okay, now that really bothers me. There is no such THING as a perfect woman and by saying that Angelina who is waaaay too skinny and does NOT represent the majority of women in the world is horrible. What does that tell the rest of us?

Angelina with her perky breasts and tiny waist and slim hips is what we should all aspire to be because her body is perfect. No. I'm sorry. That's just not true.

Argh!

I'm too pissed to actually give any sort of real comment but this is just sick.

I fucking HATE Vogue.

Like what the fuck, man? There is no perfect woman! And another thing that irks me is that I bet Vogue would have more reservations about naming a non-white woman as the perfect woman. Why why why must we always have these prototypes of beauty forced on us? Stupid people with media power (among many others) dictate what's supposed to be beautiful, and sorry to all of you who don't fit that. (Which is everyone, almost.) And what, when Angelina gets a little older and doesn't look that way anymore, she won't be the perfect woman? "Sorry, you lost the crown, babe." Whatever.

Another thing that totally pisses me off is what people regard as a "woman." Like, totally not taking into account anything non-physical, some people are regarded as quite the woman. Like in this case, or another example would be Britney. I know she has that God-awful "I'm not a Girl" song which makes everyone pull out the stupid, insanely not clever play on words about how Britney has grown into a woman, all right, but I'm like, GOD! Do you not get that she still has the thought processes and perspective of a sheltered, tunnel-visioned girl? She's got a long way to go before she is truly a woman.

Also, even Britney takes issue with her body, and she's not even happy with it. On TRL yesterday, on the scrolling marquee, they mentioned I guess some video game concerning her, and how she requested that her computer image have deeper set eyes and slimmer hips. It's just so out of control, and how is anyone supposed to be happy with themselves with all of this stupid shit around? I know there are some people who can ignore all of that and feel beautiful in their own skin, no matter what, but the fact is, that's not most people, and it's just so detrimental.

Okay, gonna stop rambling now 'cause I'm not making any sense, but yeah. I get really mad about these kinds of things.

Of course Vogue says that. The clothes in their magazine are made for size 2 models.

Personally I think Angelina is beautiful but by far NOT perfect and not the most beautiful person in the world. Yeesh. There's no such thing. Stupid magazines.

Dean Libro can be closed minded at times. She is a very intelligent woman. A professor all that. But, like I can name a few times when she just totally rubbed people the wrong way because of a particular veiw she had. This only leaves one to either take it out on themselves or think that she hasn't dealt with some personal issue. anyway... that's my opinion of the lady an entree too late.
