May. 17th, 2002 01:17 pmSo one of the coolest parts of last night was just Paul in general. Paul is a really fun guy. Sarcastic and just plain amusing. At Brielle's I got to talk Trek with him while he commandeered the TV and we watched a couple episodes of Classic Trek. Then, at Fridays, I got to argue with him about music while drunk. I love being able to do that and really, there's not a whole lot of people I can do that with who will actually listen to my ramblings about Bowie and Lou Reed. Paul brought in Iggy and then The Stones and it was just a great night. I even got to explain my extreme hatred for Bob Dylan's voice and not get too slaughtered at a table of Dylan fans.* I love nights where I end up feeling good at the end of it. Sometimes my brain actually works.
*I don't like Dylan's voice and it's tough for me to get past that but I freely admit that Dylan is probably the greatest lyricist of the 20th century. That's my stance and I'm sticking to it.
