corned beef is not an apology

I'm having one of those moments where every decision I've made in the last [looks at watch] oh, 48 hours is being rethought with the whole point of not pissing off my parents being the deciding factor in each decision. I fucked up this weekend where they're concerned and I hate it. There's nothing I hate more than upsetting them and by acting like an irresponsible kid who just wanted to goof off with her friends and lie around the house all day, talking and laughing, I did that. But. I'm 22 and I had things I was supposed to do for them and a corned beef sandwich is not going to make up for the fact I didn't get the dry-cleaning, I spent the money Mom gave me for that, I did not inform them that Chrissy was going to show up at 3:30 on Saturday night, I didn't get people out of the house when I should have, and I'm having someone else stay over tonight after they've had random people sleeping in their house since Friday night. I just plain fucked up.
