Okay, odd question that is Highlander related. Where do Immortals keep their swords? Like are they sheathed somewhere on their person? I'm pretty confused. They don't keep them up their butts do they? Cause that would be really, really uncomfortable.

HEE!

Seriously, they are supposedly kept in the lining or attached to the inside of the long coats they wear. Except of course when they are wearing waist length jackets. I don't know where they hide them then. ;-) Come on, damnit, it's a tv show, suspend some disbelief! (Yes, I know, it's a sucky explanation, but it's the one that we are supposed to believe.)

As far as the show mythos is concerned, they keep them in scabbards down their back/leg that is hidden by their long coats. The producers have long made a joke about how it's 'magic'. :D

Ahh, many were the wisecracks about sword-space, the extra-dimensional pocket/pocket dimension that an Immortal gains access to after their first death...because clearly there's no way an Immortal like Amanda is ever hiding a sword on her person in this physical reality.

Really? That's so cool about him having a show.

I'm a Highlander fan, but not a Fan, you know? I read fic sometimes, but I'm not too involved in any thing. But, Peter, now I do love him. ;-) I try to catch stuff he's in when I can.

And, yay, another Peter fan!

Hehe. Works for me! It's really just a thing that just popped into my head for no reason whatsoever. I was looking at an icon and that's all I could think of. :)

Okay, that totally works for me. It was just a weird, spur of the moment question. Thank you for answering!

Hee! Good answer. :)

It all sounds reasonable to me. Except for the butt thing. That just sounds like it hurts.

In the old days, this magical pocket was referred to by fans as "katana space."

And you totally already have the answer, but I'm just going to say: It's an excuse for them to all wear long, leather coats all the time!

But also, it's magic. :)

On a completely unrelated note, did anyone else think Beetlejuice when they first glanced at this icon?

Long, leather coats are a good thing. We're seeing that right now on Ronon. ;)

Hee! Oh yes.

See, being a non-Highlander person, I see Peter and I always think 'Tanith!'

Hehe!

That is Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding from the wonderful Rob Zombie films House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. :)

Plus, he's a clown so he scares Chrissy. Yes, I am that evil. ;)

Ah, so that IS blood.

I haven't seen those movies but I want to. Not because I like gory movies but because they're by Rob Zombie. :)

Yeah, you are evil. ;)
