Me: Is it too early for me to have ice cream?
Mom: It's not even noon.
Me: I ate breakfast.
Mom: [grumbles] What did you have for breakfast?
Me: Egg and cheese on a bagel.
Mom: [sighs] Okay. Fine. I guess you ate a good breakfast.
Me: [skips into the kitchen] Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream!
Mom: [shakes head] Sometimes it's really hard to believe you're 22.
Me: [beams proudly] Thank you.
Mom: That wasn't a compliment.
Me: I know. [scoops out ice cream] Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream!
