I don't mind working. I actually do enjoy my job and the people are for the most part fun. But there is one thing I hate doing more than anything and that is training. I'm training the fifth cashier in four years. We've trained more while I wasn't there. Brittany is a smart girl but I just hate being with another cashier at night. And I can't help but get frustrated when people don't pick things up quickly. I was trained in two weeks. On average it takes almost a month and a half to fully train someone, so I really don't have the patience to do it. So ick. Plus when there's another cashier there, I have to be careful about music I listen to and what I do on the computer. Grr.
I went shopping after work though and that makes me feel better. Three pairs of pants and four shirts from Old Navy. Mmm...clothing. Then I headed over to Barnes and Noble and browsed happily, finally remembering to pick up a copy of On The Road, which everyone should read if they haven't. I also grabbed the soundtrack for O Brother Where Art Thou, which is really cool.
Sang along to Bowie all the way home. I'm feeling the Bowie love muchly. It's great to just remember why I love him so much. I put on The Rise and the Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and by the time Five Years was over I was just so happy and singing along.
I love Bowie.
Now I'm watching the Osbournes because it's the greatest show on TV right now. Ozzy and Kelly are adorably cute together.
Hoooome. Fooood. Daaaayse.
