i was just told by my father that Comcast @home cable service might be cut off for all customers tomorrow. they declared bankruptcy and are currently in court attempting to get a ruling that says they can stop providing services as of tomorrow.

um. that means dialup. and that means i totally get to fall out of internet life because 1) i have no modem card for the laptop; 2) there is no phone line upstairs for me to connect to for the desktop; 3) my dad and sister no longer have modems in their computer.

in other words, i am. fucked. if that happens.

i think i'm going to go cry now.

and i love that this happens right when i need home internet access because i have papers to write and internet sources for those.

@home is going bankrupt, but I know some cable companies that provide internet service have bid on getting their users to come to them, which means a simple download from the internet is all you'll need. Did you receive anything in the mail?

In any case, you still have tomorrow til midnight.
