I only just realized now that I haven't adequately prepared myself to spend an extended period of time with my grandfather today. I haven't had enough coffee, I'm a little crabby, and I have a headache. This does not bode well for my time with him. I love him, okay, and this is going to sound really harsh, but I get so frustrated spending time with him now. Alzheimer's sucks, people. It takes away the people you love even when they're right in front of you.

I'm going to go put on makeup and smile pretty for hours on end and explain over and over again about school, Chris, and who I am.
