riddle me this, batman
Aug. 20th, 2001 02:11 amokay...let's clear these up...
1: My first boyfriend was in second grade and his name was Donetto. I thought I was going to marry him on the jungle gym in the school playground. We broke up when he tried to make me eat worms.
True. Donetto and I had a torrid love affair for a whole week before the worm incident. I decided I could never love a man who wanted me to eat worms.
2: I skipped kindergarten and went right into first grade. I still say that's the reason I can't do simple math or cut in a straight line.
True. I hated first grade. :(
3: My teachers made me choose between being left handed and right handed because it just wasn't natural for a child to be ambidexterous.
True. ::sighs:: Now I would kill to be ambidexterous. I mean, that would rock.
4: I haven't seen my natural hair colour since I was in ninth grade.
So, SO true. In the past month alone, I've been dark blonde, red, black, and bleached blonde. Natural high colour. Pshaw. Who needs it?
5: When I was 14, I was at a fireworks display and the canister shot into the crowd and I got severly burned on my lower legs.
True. I have scars all over my lower legs from that. And I am scared to DEATH of fireworks. I am no fun on New Years or the Fourth of July because of that.
6: My great-grandparents on my mother's side had to flee Kiev in the early 20th century because of the Cossacks.
True. My family immigrated here in 1908 after their house was burned down by the Cossacks because they were Jewish.
7: The first time I read Little Women, I didn't remember Beth dying. I thought she lived until I saw the movie. Then I cried.
Alas, also true. After I realized that, I started reading things better. Though I still did get an essay back on Pride and Prejudice with the comment 'What book are you reading?' on it.
8: I have two false teeth because mine were knocked out when I was five while playing on a see-saw.
Lance. All my teeth are real. And Dayse's right. At five you usually still have baby teeth.
9: I've changed school's three times already and I'm looking at the fourth. One of these days I might get my degree.
True. I get bored and change schools. And majors. And my whole life.
10: My dad used to be an anti-nuclear demonstrator in the 70's. He now works for the government building weapons of mass destruction.
True. And he feels very, very dirty about it.
