so yes. it's the first day of class and i'm already sick of it. oh i am SO dropping that sociology course. i don't want to deal with that crap this semester. the teacher speaks almost no english which makes for SO much fun while trying to understand her. and get this, the drexel shaft comes into play again. the sociology department doesn't have the funding to xerox stuff. so we have to print off the tests ourselves or we have to figure out some way for her to pay for it. lord, this school is a mess. we're paying $1500 a person for that one class and there's 30 of us. i think they can scrap up $50 bucks a semester to xerox shit for us.

argh. ::deep breath::

it's pouring today which means that i'm sort of soaked because my umbrella is a tiny little thing because mine was taken by somebody else this morning. accident on 76 so i took an earlier exit. turns out that there was construction the whole way on that route. no parking anywhere. i actually have to go through a few more quarters into the meter so i don't get a ticket pretty soon. that roll of quarters i got this morning is NOT going to last. have i mentioned that i freaking hate this? i can take the train late at night. that doesn't bother me. i think i'm going to do that. it might end up being cheaper then trying to park.

i did, however, get my usual burst of creativity while in a lecture so there's about two pages i have to type up for water. which i will do eventually. right now, i think i'm going to go feed the meter and get some food. or maybe not feed the meter and just get the damn ticket because i don't feel like walking the eight blocks to my car.

why did i decide to commute this year?

oh. so yes. i just looked at my schedule. i'm getting a parking ticket no matter which way i slice it. there's no way i can get back to my car to put money in the meter between my class that ends at 3:20 and the one that starts at 3:30.

so taking the train from now on.

meh. i suppose things have gotten better. no ticket! yay! and ben is in my american lit class! yay! class with ben! i missed ben lots. i missed my heterosexual gay boy. i call him that because he's completely straight but fills in perfectly when there are no gay boys around. he'll hug and kiss and pet and just go cute little things to make a girl happy. i've been shopping for underwear with the boy just because he knew it would make me feel better. american lit will be tolerable. the teacher is a really hard grader. she gives about one A a semester. so yeah, i just have to resign myself that A is not going to be me even if i did manage one with Saar. i think that was a fluke. also, i have to read Huck Finn again. don't get me wrong, i really like that book, but i've read it a lot. i just don't remember it so i do have to read it again. the holocaust class is going to be a lot of work but i'm okay with that. i really want to take that class and i'm looking forward to it. we have to do a research paper on an aspect of the Holocaust and one of the broad topics is non-jewish victims. I may go and do the paper on the persecution of homosexuals during the Holocaust. Ever since I read, Mary's?(i think it was hers) story about that I've been trying to figure out ways to learn more about it. this is a good opportunity for that. i have Modern American Drama in about half an hour and I want to get to the cafe to get some more coffee before that. dayse, i should be home around 9:30ish. i'll hopefully get to see you then.

and squee! there was 'Gone' bits on TRL? sorry i missed it, but i'll hopefully get to see the real thing at some point tomorrow evening. i'm going to miss TRL tomorrow because i'll be on campus, but i can't do anything about that. i'll try and catch a rerun.

and now, off i go!
