Today has been the longest day in HISTORY. Well, no. Not really. But still. Got to work at 8 which is pretty much unheard of for me even when I'm scheduled to be there at 8. They just assume it'll be closer to 8:30 or even 9 depending on the night before. Then we had the biggest day in Grove Hardware history. I spent the first couple of hours filing and then putting away stock and working the floor until we started doing the lunch switcheroo. I hopped on register for good around 2. Seriously. I can't believe how busy we were especially since we were so shorthanded. We did close to $3000 in credit cards alone which sounds small but for us, it's a big deal.

Then, I decided to come home and clean my room. Um. I haven't cleaned in approximately 8 months. I just went through it and threw out so much. I have a floor now! And it's been vaccuumed. Seriously, I haven't had a room this clean in ages. I'm so amazed. It took me hours to do and it was worth it. I'm happy. If I had dusted as well, this room would be perfect. But alas, I ran out of steam. Hell, just finishing the laundry might be tough. But I will prevail!

Chatted with Mike about his plan to take us folks for a fun day down near his neck of the woods.
