I really wanted to write another work rant here but I think we've all heard them before, especially where my sister and working with her is concerned. Instead, I'll talk about the fact that I had a good night last night. I got to spend some time with Dayse before Waryne, Brielle, Mike, and Karen came over. We hit one of the local hole in the wall bars and celebrated, albeit calmly, Mike finishing his first novel. Tami, PJ, and Manning hooked up with us since the bar was literally a block from Tami and PJ's and the whole group of us had a good time talking. I got to talk to Mike for awhile about writing and listen to how he feels about things and his techniques for plotting out stories. It was really, really nice to talk to someone about writing. I'm glad I got to.

Also, funny, funny thing happened last night that Anna can atest to. Waryne, Mr. Computers are the tool of the devil, chatted on IM with her for almost an hour. He played hunt and peck and learned how to use smilies and flirt with a girl as best as possible over IM.

I'm so proud. My boy is all growed up now. And apparently promising Anna a room in his shack on the beach.

Waryne's adorable, and that was fun! And yes, I get my own room in the beach shack. We have a fridge and a blender, and the Internet so we can download music and porn.

Perhaps he and I shall have to make a trip to VA sometime soon. When I possibly get a life again.

Or. Perhaps in April, when I have yet another house, complete with two loveable Rottweilers, you and Chrissy should come up and visit again. Because. Yes.
