to sleep perchance to dream
Sep. 2nd, 2002 11:47 amI hate the night. It's my favourite time of day because it's peaceful and quiet and there's nothing but hours and hours of sleeping ahead of me. Insomnia however, turns the night against me and I sit for hours and hours on end not sleeping, instead wondering why I'm not sleeping, worrying why I'm not sleeping, and finally blessedly sleeping when it starts to get light out.
I can't do this much longer. I have classes starting soon and a life I have to resume that does not include sleeping a few brief hours in the morning and attempting to be functional all day.
This. Sucks.

Date: 2002-09-02 10:03 pm (UTC)I'm just emerging from a horrible spell of insomnia. I found Unisom Sleep Gels really helpful. They aren't a sedative, but an antihistamine medication that makes you sleepy. They are over the counter drugs, here. If you're interested, they're diphenhydramine hydrocloride 50mg.
