This is mostly for my own reference. I was curious about word counts and fandom vs. word count so I went and figured out the word count for (almost) everything I've written since 1999 fandom-wise. Safe to say that popslash definitely beats everything in word count and number of fics with Harry Potter trailing far behind it. The it's due South, SGA, SG1, Wilby Wonderful, and ER in that order. By looking at number of fics vs. word count, it's safe to say that I usually write between 1,000 and 5,000 words.
