Because obviously I haven't posted enough today...
Canadians are weird.
Rhinoceros Party
Platform highlights include:
- annexing the United States, which would take its place as the third territory, after the Yukon and the Northwest Territories (Nunavut did not yet exist) in Canada's backyard, in order to raise the mean temperature of Canada by one degree Celsius
- adopting the British system of driving on the left; this was to be gradually phased in over five years with large trucks first, then buses, eventually including small cars and bicycles last
- annexing Greenland and creating a cartel with other northern nations in order to sell icebergs to the Saudis; the cartel would be called "Snopec"
Sadly they were removed from the Registry of Canadian Political Parties in '93. But maybe someday they'll be back!
Also, after further exploration on Wikepedia, there are a lot of political parties that are formed because of a common love of beer. Poland, Russia, Norway, Canada, and Germany have them while Serbia and Montenegro has Party of Solemn and Honourable Consumers of Alcohol which was previously known as the Party of Ordinary Drunkards and Spain has the Peoples Party of the Pub.
Me, I want to join Anarchistic Pogo Party of America. Any party that is for lazy people and social parasites is for me!
In other news, watch this and laugh. This is totally safe for work up until the point Dr. Hibbert puts on the rubber gloves.
